Monthly Meetings,

added to the list. Meetings are every third Tuesday at 7:00, unless stated
otherwise. For directions visit our web site, www.SpringfieldBonsai.com .
Monthly meeting policy, Bring in a Bonsai to share with group to
double the raffle tickets you purchase.
Board Meetings, are
held at various club members homes, location will be announced via e-mail and
at the monthly meeting. First Tuesday of the month at 6:00, unless stated
otherwise. All members are welcome to attend. Please contact host so they have
a head count for dinner.

May 10 New Haven Bonsai Society Special Event
on Plant Diseases at the Department of Plant Pathology
and Ecology
Peter’s
invitation:
Your clubs are always invited to any of our
meetings. However, on May 10th Dr. Sharon Douglas
will be our special guest, discussing a topic of
interest to all our club members, Plant Diseases. We wanted
to reach out and give all a special invite should
they decide to join us. The lecture will be at the CT Agricultural
Experimental Station at the address below. This
special meeting will begin at 6:30.
Should
you have a particular disease or related topic you would like to hear about,
please let me know and I will
see if she can cover it. We do hope your members
will join us, as Dr. Douglas is both knowledgeable and a
great speaker. Meeting location is the Connecticut
Agricultural Experiment Station, 123 Huntington Street, New Haven, CT

May. 15 Monthly Meeting Bonsai
Exhibit show tree preparations meeting. Bring in your Bonsai and we’ll help you
get it ready for our October bonsai exhibit

Our members are
invited to the
June 2 Special Event Bonsai Society of
Greater Hartford Workshop and picnic with Marty Schmalenberg. This will take place at the
Paderewski Park in Plainville, CT. Potluck Picnic (BSGH provide Burgers and
Dogs) and Bonsai Demonstration by Marty than a BSGH
fund raising auction.

Suzanne and Doug Kelley’s home in Monson, MA. Note that our Dues year runs Sept.-Sept. so
most tend to pay their dues at the annual picnic.

Springfield and Hartford Bonsai Society Bonsai Nursery Road trip. First to Suthin’s Royal Bonsai Garden for
a full day workshop and then to visit the Sale benches at New England Bonsai
Gardens. (Workshop fee T.B.D.)
Oct.
13th and 14th BSGS Annual Show at
16 Acres Garden Center. Set up on Friday the 12th
